Public TitleDetection and Quantification of Organic Compounds of Significant Concentrations in Food and Drinks
Division
Lead InventorGore, Jayavant
Public DescriptionCurrently, detection of organic compounds in food and drinks requires the use of spectrometric devices or chemical analysis methods. The spectrometric devices are very large and cumbersome and, in some instances, very complicated to use. The chemical analysis methods require reagents and are hard to incorporate online. This invention provides a method and device that enables detection and measurement of components or adulterant concentrations in foods and drinks. This device uses infrared light absorption analysis without a spectrometer and can be used for inline applications in food processing plants.
