Public Title Road Hazard Analysis Tool - RoadHAT, User Manual Division Lead Inventor Tarko, Andrzej Public Description Purdue researchers have developed a comprehensive and complete software-based tool for safety management related to road improvements. The program supports evaluation of crash hazards for road sections and intersections; identification of hazards causing road deficiencies and related safety countermeasures; estimations of economic effectiveness for proposed safety countermeasures; and estimations of effectiveness of implemented road improvements to increase safety. The tool has specialized graphical tools and generates a complete documentation based on the State of Indiana's road identification and evaluation criteria. The data appears in HTML format and allows the user to create/update a list of safety projects for prioritization.
