Public DescriptionResearchers at Purdue University have developed an Integrated Cell Sorting and Multiplexed HPV Detection for Cervical Cancer. This combined flow cytometry/biomolecular assay allows for detecting the presence of proteins and human papillomavirus genetic material that can indicate cervical cancer risk. A key advantage of this technology is the ability to integrate this assay into the standard procedure for performing a Pap test.
