Public DescriptionFood borne pathogens are the cause of a significant number of illnesses in the U.S. The need for rapid, specific methods for the detection of viable pathogens has significant health and economic benefits. Purdue Researchers have developed methods and devices for detecting targeted microorganisms. These devices will allow for rapid detection of live pathogens, provide easy detection of microorganisms, and the method is very sensitive.
