We are recruiting for a scientific contributor for our West Lafayette, Indiana facility. The main activities of the Research Scientist I will be to perform cGMP analyses for particle characterization, including but not limited to particle size by laser light scattering, BET surface area, and microscopy.

In this role, you will:

• Provide proficient and timely support for analytical techniques including laser diffraction particle size, BET surface area analyses and microscopy.
• Accurately follow written procedures and GMP/GLP guidelines. 
• Plan, prioritize, organize and execute analytical work in accordance with the requirements of the client/technical agreement following analytical methods and procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment/instrumentation per written quality procedures to ensure optimal operation and quality data generation.
• Technically interact with in-house experts as appropriate.
• Provide exemplary customer support for both internal and external customers and communicate results clearly and accurately.
• Maintain and promote clean and well organized work area(s).
• Responsible for complying with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, NRC and ICH guidelines. 
• Demonstrates flexibility in organizing work and priorities.


Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:
• BS in scientific discipline (e.g. Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related science field with laboratory experience or an Associate degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of five years relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn other statistical/scientific software packages.
• Good problem solving and decision making skills to identify and solve issues.

• Hands-on experience associated with instrumental techniques listed.
• cGMP/GLP pharmaceutical laboratory experience.
