The Research Scientist II is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by assisting in, and executing,
chromatographic and mass spectrometric testing.

In this role, you will:

- Use LC-MS(/MSn), (U)HPLC and related techniques to analyze client and internal samples.
- Assist in method development and sample preparation efforts.
- Work in multidisciplinary teams on a wide variety of projects.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation including isolation, purification, quantitation, and identification of chemical
species.
- Prepare concise and well-written scientific reports.
- Complies with all cGMP and safety requirements, operating procedures, and company policies and procedures.
- Commitment to teamwork for solving problems and serving clients.

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

Required:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Biology or related degree.
- Coursework / lab work in analytical chemistry.
- Critical thinking and problem solving capabilities.
- High level of independence and the ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
- Excellent communication skills are required for interacting with colleagues and clients.

Preferred:
- Work experience in a pharmaceutical environment is desirable, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
in a chemical or biochemical field.
- Analytical, mass spectrometric, and chromatographic experience.
- Experience in method development and validation.
- Experience with separation and characterization of small and large molecules.
- Experience with experimental design, troubleshooting experiments, and interpretation of data.
