AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The Research Scientist II is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by performing instrumental analyses in support of solid state research and/or crystallization projects as well as overseeing the maintenance of analytical instrumentation in a contract GMP pharmaceutical laboratory.

In this role, you will:             
  • Provide proficient and timely support for a broad range of analytical techniques including powder x-ray diffraction (XRPD).
  • Provide exemplary customer support for both internal and external customers and be able to productively interact with a diverse workforce.
  • Accurately follow written procedures and GMP/GLP guidelines. 
  • Plan, prioritize, organize and execute analytical work in accordance with the requirements of the client/technical agreement following analytical methods and procedures.
  • Maintain assigned equipment/instrumentation per written quality procedures to ensure optimal operation and quality data generation.
  • Be responsible for complying with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, NRC and ICH guidelines. 
  • Technically interact with in-house experts and internal/external clients as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with internal and external clients, both verbal and written.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:
  • BS in scientific discipline with relevant laboratory experience or an Associate degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of five years relevant laboratory experience.
  • cGMP/GLP pharmaceutical laboratory experience very helpful.
