The Research Scientist I is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by focusing on chromatography, dissolution, and other associated techniques.

In this role, you will:
  • Independently performs hands-on experimental work utilizing chromatography, UV-Vis, dissolution, and other associated analytical techniques.
  • Develops, validates, and writes analytical methods and operating procedures according to specific sample or testing requirements, specifically those on liquid chromatography.
  • Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance and qualification of equipment (i.e. HPLC, Dissolution, etc.).
  • Maintains appropriate documentation (records and lab notebooks) as required by SOPs.
  • Provides project oversight, client interactions if required, and scientific input.
  • Complies with all cGMP and safety requirements, laboratory SOPs and company policies and procedures.
  • Participates in troubleshooting of analytical test methods and laboratory instruments.
  • Complies with good housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Performs data analysis and interpretation.
  • Prepares well-written scientific reports.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in chemistry or related science field with 0-1 year of relevant laboratory experience or Associate degree in chemistry or related science field with 2-3 years of relevant laboratory experience.


  • Experience with new protocols, design and troubleshooting experiments and interpretation of data.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, as is a high level of independence and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Laboratory experience:  HPLC, UPLC, IC, UV-VIS, Dissolution
