Description:

Akina, Inc. is looking for a senior scientist to work on the research and development of biomedical and pharmaceutical products and services including, but not limited to, contracted research analysis, polymer synthesis, and analytical testing. This position primarily entails formulation development, hydrogel research, and polymer chemistry. This is an in-person wet-lab-based career at our West Lafayette facility and is not eligible for remote work. In addition to R&D, the position will entail conducting a portion of the work in a regulatory-controlled (FDA-GMP/GLP) environment.

Requirements:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related scientific field is required. At least 2 - 5 years of prior work experience in research and development in the pharmaceutical/biomedical field is also required. Experience with operations in a regulatory-controlled environment is a plus.
