AsedaSciences performs phenotypic screening and data reduction services, utilizing human cell
lines, to screen chemical compounds to determine their multi-parametric biological and
physiological effects on defined cell types. The information generated is used to define the
potential risk of compound failure due to toxic effects as well as determine possible mechanism
of action. The service is dependent on the capabilities of the company to perform cell-based
assays, which utilize flow cytometry as the read-out technology, coupled with sophisticated
bioinformatics and statistical methods, to provide clients with biological risk assessments of test
compounds and help prioritize compound choice for progression within their R&D programs. The
predictive analyses and end results are provided to clients through a cloud-based SaaS model
allowing for compound and associated data storage, analysis and visualization, hosted on AWS.
