The Sample Management Generalist is responsible for assuring that all study samples and reference standards are accounted for and in working condition when received at BASi or delivered to one of its clients.

  • Responsible for receiving, processing, maintaining, and return/disposal of samples and reference standards for BASi
  • Assist in the maintenance of the stability program functions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all samples and standards for current projects
  • Document receipt/delivery of samples and reference standards according to cGMP, cGLP, cGCP, etc.
  • Communicate with the Business Development department, Principal Investigators, Clients, and Client Services on a daily basis
  • Responsible for the shipment of hazardous materials via various means of transportation.
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Interact with the community and employees
  • Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by senior management
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Education & Experience

  • A.S. in Business Administration preferred. A.S. in a related field with 1-2 years of inventory control experience.
  • Equivalent combination of related education and required work experience will be considered.

Skills & Abilities

  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to use a computer to compile and maintain databases for records and inventory utilizing the appropriate software
  • Ability to follow written instructions and work with a minimum of supervision
  • Know and understand applicable national and state regulations, with the ability to apply these practices daily
  • Working knowledge of and ability to adhere HIPAA regulations
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to adhere regulations and procedures
  • DOT training for receiving, handling, and shipping hazardous materials
