Foundry Photo, Video, Marketing and Communications Student Worker

  • Produce videography and digital photography (concept, production planning, shooting, editing, motion graphics and sound design).
  • Assume primary responsibility for post- production and distribution of a weekly/bi-weekly online video blog, Foundry Grounds Remote.
  • Assist in special projects, including concept and script writing for promotional and ad hoc videos and social media ads.
  • Maintain content calendar for new and established programs, via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
  • Monitor social channels and respond to feedback, questions, and concerns.
  • Create marketing materials including copy-writing and graphic design.
  • Responsible for capturing, analyzing and reporting social media
  • Conduct external market research to identify industry
  • Provide administrative support when
  • Assist with event planning and execution.
  • Serve as a student ambassador for the Foundry on campus.


  • Proficiency with MS Office,
  • Social media strengths
  • Possess a basic understanding of camera functions such as aperture, ISO and white-balance.
  • Basic knowledge of Purdue Brand Guidelines

Description of Experience:

  • Junior or above pursuing a degree in Marketing/Communications or IT, pursuing degree in videography, graphic design, communications, journalism or other related fields.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro/After Effects and other photo/ video editing software programs (reel review required).
  • Demonstrable experience in copywriting (samples required).
  • Experience with content creation

Hourly Pay: $13-$14/hour

No more than 10-15 hours per week during the academic year and no more than 25 hours per week during the summer.
