IT Desktop Support Specialist

Essential Functions

  • Computer Imaging and Security Patching through SCCM and Jamf Pro:
    • Install software and configure new computers.
    • Manage computer inventory.
    • Create and maintain computer images by department.
    • Implement solutions to automate computer systems management.
    • Windows and MacOS patching.
    • Monitor for and remediate security vulnerabilities.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware/software.

Additional Responsibilities

  • General
    • Assist with new employee training and onboarding.
    • Acquire and decommission computers.
    • Make hardware/software recommendations for computers based on user needs.
  • Frontline IT Support
    • Act as a backup to the primary desktop support position.
  • Monitor Help Desk tickets.
  • Coordinate outside vendor support.
  • Perform software installation and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair end user hardware/software issues.
  • Assist with scanner, copier, and fax machine support.
  • Assist with conference room support.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Ability to work with a diverse clientele.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position.



  • Associate’s degree preferred; a combination of relevant experience and education may substitute for a degree.
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience required.
  • Microsoft InTune experience a plus.
  • Jamf Pro experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook in an exchange environment.
  • Experience with PC virus prevention, detection and removal.
  • Familiarity with networks and mapping network drives.
