Marketing and Communications Interns

Responsibilities 

* Interview and write reports/news articles. 

* Conduct external market research to identify industry needs. 

* Assist in special projects including video stories and video production. 

* Classify content using defined criteria. 

* Document media placements. 

* Utilize social media as directed.

Experience: 

* Must be at least a junior in Marketing/Communications, journalism, or a related-field. 

* Experience in web development. 

* Experience in photography a plus. 

* Experience working with multiple media. 

* Social media strengths preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

* Interest and/or knowledge of business development, technology transfer, and/or intellectual property management a plus. 

* Strong interpersonal relations and customer management skills. 

* Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and InDesign. 

* Ability to work independently, show initiative and use discretion in handling confidential information 

* Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

* Ability to process and protect confidential information.

* Knowledge of AP style preferred. 

* Strong interpersonal skills. Team-oriented.

Other:

Hours: Negotiable, prefer at least 12 hours per week in academic year and 20 hours per week in the summer 

Pay Rate: $11.00/hour
