Operations Associate II

Essential Functions:

  • Process daily cash receipts for cash/checks received for Purdue Research Foundation and other entities.
  • Record rental income and security deposits for PRF, McClure Services, and other entities in the Timberline residential housing database and upload information to the accounting system for processing and posting.
  • Upload PayLease file for PRF, McClure and other entities.  Apply credits in Timberline as needed.
  • Process Accounts Payable.
  • Assist as backup processor for various Accounting areas.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
    • Verify invoices for goods and services.
    • Enter accounts payable invoices in the accounting system and scan appropriate backup documentation.
    • Prepare vendor checks for mailing.
  • Accounts Receivable/Cash Receipts
    • Receive, code and process daily cash receipts as needed.
    • Enter and apply receipts in accounting system.
    • Process any Accounts Receivable invoicing as needed.
    • Scan and attach appropriate backup documentation in accounting system.
    • Scan/Deliver PRF cash bank deposits as needed and according to internal controls.
    • Receive and create AR entries in accounting system.
    • Receive and upload monthly PEP and rewrite files from Purdue into One Solution, as backup.
    • Enter all wire deposits for Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC), Purdue rent/miscellaneous A/R’s and other miscellaneous deposits in OneSolution.
  • Legal Invoice Processing (backup)
    • Process invoices received from law firms for patent expenses.
    • Review invoices with the Office of Technology Commercialization for adjustments.
    • Upload invoices into accounting system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and utilize good judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with peers.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position.


  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience as an account clerk and/or bookkeeper.
