Investment Analytics and Reporting Analyst

Essential Functions:

  • Generate performance and other ad-hoc reports for the governing bodies of the Office of Investments, including the Investment Committee and the Purdue Research Foundation Board of Directors.
  • Generate reports with exposure and risk analytics to support the investment team within the Office of Investments at Purdue Research Foundation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve data issues impacting performance, risk, and exposure.
  • Create and maintain processes for updating reoccurring reports.
  • Interact with performance and exposure analytics software to pull necessary data.
  • Create reports as needed to help visualize performance and exposure and risk analytics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of investment concepts and terminology.  Specifically, must possess ability to analyze and interpret performance metrics including time-weighted returns (TWR) and internal rate of return (IRR).
  • Considerable skill in using a computer in a Windows environment with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and other business software to prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, charts and reports.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, and prioritizing work assignments to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced and changing environment, and in completing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Must possess ability to structure and maintain repeatable process for collecting data from multiple sources and aggregating into an easy to understand format.
    • Must have ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in account, finance, law, economics, mathematics, or a related degree. 
  • 2-3 years of  professional investment performance and reporting or related experience is preferred but not required. 
  • Completion or willingness to complete CIPM Program.
