Concordance Health Solutions is a startup company that is developing products, services, and data to improve patient medication adherence in partnership with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and payers. Our products include electronic reminder and monitoring technologies that are simple to integrate into pharmacy practice, inexpensive, fit seamlessly into a patient’s lifestyle, and incorporate feedback loops to patients and healthcare partners to facilitate optimal medication adherence.

Concordance Health Solutions, Inc. (CHS) has an opening for an individual to lead business development activities for the company, including product launch and sales activities within the healthcare industry.  CHS provides its employees with innovative work focused on accomplishing projects through a culture of strong team collaboration. 

Job description

The role is tasked with the job of implementing and managing sales and related business development activities for the company. This includes building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing deals and projects, and assisting in defining long-term organizational strategic market placement goals. The role requires maintaining knowledge of current market conditions, including the competitive landscape. 

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Researching organizations and individuals to identify new leads and markets for CHS products
  • Researching potential customers, including who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Cultivating and maintaining fruitful relationships with potential and existing customers
  • Preparing presentations, materials, and sales displays and customizing those for individual prospects
  • Generating sales
  • Attending industry functions, such as conferences and association events
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors to communicate the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Participating in pricing decisions and developing proposals for specific customers
  • Developing sales goals and ensuring they are met
  • Identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
  • Presenting to and consulting with senior management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Working with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs and solve problems.
  • Assisting with protecting the company’s brand and proactively enhancing the company’s reputation in the marketplace
  • Updating job knowledge by reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Desired Skills and Experience


Bachelor’s degree minimum 

Sales experience in healthcare; specific experience with issues related to prescription medication or connected health solutions desired

Demonstrated success with prospecting, proposal development, closing deals, sales planning, identification of customer needs and challenges, CRM, and meeting sales goals

Strong communication and IT fluency

Experience managing a business development team, directly and/or indirectly, desired

Personal Attributes

Creative mindset and the ability to solve tough problems

An ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations

Attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills

Enthusiastic and optimistic attitude about CHS products and potential
