Concordance Health Solutions is a startup company developing products and data services to improve patient medication adherence. Our products include electronic reminder and monitoring technologies that are simple, inexpensive, and incorporate feedback loops to patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners with a goal of facilitating optimal medication adherence, and ultimately, better health outcomes. 

Concordance has an opening for an intern that will assist with launching our product, the Smart Med Reminder system ( within the healthcare industry. Concordance provides innovative work, focused on accomplishing projects through a culture of strong team collaboration. The company is in the Purdue Research Park.

Job description:

The Business Development Intern works with the Vice President of Business Expansion to fuel business growth and enhance Concordance’s market position. The intern will help identify business opportunities, plan engagement with key customers, and help coordinate sales efforts through the creation of pipeline metrics and customer strategy planning. This position is part-time.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

● Research organizations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets for the Smart Med Reminder system

● Research the needs and structure of prospects, including who makes decisions about purchasing

● Prepare PowerPoint presentations and sales displays

● Attend meetings with potential partners as schedules permit

● Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales

● Communicate the company’s value proposition

● Participate in pricing the solution/service by developing proposals

● Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs

● Enhance company reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests

● Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Skills and Experience Minimum Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Business or Marketing and Sales, preferably upcoming Junior or Senior

• Strong business communication tool skills including Google Drive, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher)

• Motivation for Sales work

• Entrepreneurial Mindset

• Professionalism Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sales

• Experience with CRM tools

• A background in pharmacy or healthcare related field Personal Attributes

• Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems

• The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

• Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations

• Attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills

• Enthusiastic and optimistic attitude about Concordance products and potential partnerships
