CHS has an opening for an electrical engineer or electrical engineering technician who will assist with developing and updating our products.  This individual will be responsible for designing and developing electronic devices that utilize Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communications as well as writing firmware code.  This position offers the opportunity to work in an innovative and fast-paced startup environment, and to operate with significant autonomy in managing and developing cutting edge technology and programming techniques.  

  • Design, implement, and maintain, electronic components, products, and systems.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, standards and specifications.
  • Design systems using our hardware and software to program, collect data and process collected information
  • Think creatively by developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products.
  • Troubleshoot system errors and debug hardware/software/firmware.
  • Evaluate system by identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Apply deductive reasoning and apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Communicate information and ideas so others will understand.


Minimum Qualifications 

  • B. S. Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
  • Ability to deliver complex projects with a team of internal and external engineers
  • Experience in programming in C or similar languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of industry experience
  • Experience in hardware circuit design, printed circuit board layout, and quick prototyping.  Experience with embedded systems design and programming for extremely low power systems.
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication protocols, connectivity, and implementation.
  • Experience with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Experience with raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.


Concordance Health Solutions is a startup company that is developing products, services, and data to improve patient medication adherence in partnership with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and payers. Our first product is the Smart Med Reminder System (, a connected medicine cap and mobile app.  Our future products include electronic reminder and monitoring technologies that are simple to integrate into pharmacy practice, inexpensive, fit seamlessly into a patient’s lifestyle, and incorporate feedback loops to patients and healthcare partners to facilitate optimal medication adherence.
