The person in this position is responsible for accounts payable functions. This person prepares journal entries, sales reports, project allocations and prepaid entries and account reconciliations. This person provides finance support to internal and external customers. This person will work closely with the shared service team and Financial Analyst to identify and implement process improvement and data analysis.

Essential Job Function/Duties

  • Identify errors or discrepancies and resolve before posting
  • Process invoices, credit memos, check requests and expense reports for payment
  • Research and resolve any outstanding balances on accounts
  • Reconciliations, attaining approvals, account coding verification and data analysis
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations
  • Work within deadlines while maintaining accuracy, consistency and attention to detail
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Process sales reports and post to company portal Prepare monthly transactions for scrap and prepaids
  • Update frozen costs in Jbase BOM

 Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements

  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills while interacting within and outside of the company
  • Process project allocation monthly entries
  • Must be self-motivated with a desire to learn processes
  • Must be able to multi-task and remain flexible when priorities arise
  • Must be willing to embrace change and become more efficient
  • Follow all Global AP guidelines and processes
  • Participate in Global AP training, calls and meetings Ensure processes in the area are effectively running and continually improve
  • Assist management with other corporate duties when required Apply understanding of Cook Biotech Quality System Requirements in executing job duties
  • Associate degree required
  • Prior experience in accounts payable or accounting preferred Strong problem solving, organizational, and excellent communication skills required.
  • Proven ability to communicate and work well in team environments.
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing work environment, as well as, meet work deadlines

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodations
  • Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in the manufacture of the product.
