Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring records are properly organized and accessible is critical to the function of a best in class global export licensing and authorization program for FLIR Systems. 

The Compliance Partner will work closely with Global Trade Compliance and business stakeholders to ensure that export compliance records including, but not limited to, export authorizations, records of authorized activity, and items that are generally considered part of the statutory-defined export compliance record are correctly filed, managed, and made accessible.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the G&D and Global Trade Compliance personnel in their authorization submittals to the Department of State and Department of Commerce and all their approved records
  • Maintain the required document for all approvals, exports/imports and supporting documents in electronic systems of record (OCR EASE and SAP GTS)
  • Work with G&D and Global Trade Compliance leads to develop/improve processes for records management as needed
  • Assist with generation of ITAR/EAR required reports to be submitted to Department of State and Department of Commerce, respectively, as dictated under the regulations.
  • Perform visual inspection, correction and processing of scanned images
  • Assist with maintenance of large physical inventory of hard copy documents
  • Monitor various image workflow queues to ensure all items are validated and processed daily
  • Assist department in other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a global company
  • Experience with ITAR, EAR, FTR, or other relevant export compliance regulations
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to tackle multiple projects
  • Requires attention to detail, solid analytical/problem solving skills
  • Requires ability to navigate and work cross-functionally in a global, matrixed organization
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce. 


  • Experience with OCR system and/or SAP Global Trade (GTS) module is a plus
