About the role…

This is a great opportunity to join a developing team responsible for building and managing
business systems and processes in support of Inari’s seed supply chain and breeding pipeline.
You will be a critical part of making the whole system work, with direct responsibility for
continuously improving accuracy, quality, and efficiency of the seed business while lowering

As a Seed Resource Quality Testing Associate, you will…

  • Coordinate the quality testing associated with the Inari seed supply chain across breeding
  • Ensure that seed (germplasm) within the business and breeding programs:
    • Are appropriately documented in information management tools to ensure
    • Meet acceptable quality standards such as germination and purity
    • Are tested in a timely manner for seed supply chain personnel to make decisions
  • Develop Quality Management System documents related to quality testing
  • Build relationships with internal and 3 rd party laboratories for seed stock characterization and
  • Interact with multiple teams to meet deadlines and advance company goals
  • Partner with the Seed Resource Team to ensure the germplasm database is complete and
Successful candidates bring…
  • B.S. degree with 3-5 years work experience in agriculture related field
  • Basic knowledge of seed testing (e.g. genetic markers, genome sequencing, disease testing, germination and purity)
  • A high degree of self-motivation and organizational skills, with a process driven mindset
  • A positive and entrepreneurial attitude. Willing to challenge the status quo to spark improved strategies, methods, and practices that allows others to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced, high-performing start-up environment
  • Ability to work well independently and in teams
  • A collaborative approach, openness to giving and receiving feedback, perspectives, and ideas
  • Systems thinking – able to think critically, conceptually, and analytically about systems and procedures
  • Sound and accurate judgement; accountable for decisions made within the scope of responsibility and focused on meeting established short-term goals and long-term objectives
  • Energy, self motivation, ownership and focused execution Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the end results in mind
  • Strong record-keeping skills, committed to accuracy with excellent attention to detail
