LIMS Manager

This is a brand new role, seeking a motivated Frontend Software Developer to join our growing team to help us build and manage our LIMS system to support expansion of our product development pipeline. The role will be based in West Lafayette, IN.


  • Lead the development, testing, and deployment of Lab Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Work with West Lafayette Team to manage LIMS workflows, SOPs, and feature requests 
  • Train laboratory personnel as downstream users of LIMS
  • Help teams use LIMS to develop, analyze, track, and report on overall pipeline key performance indexes (KPIs)
  • Develop and modify LIMS workflows to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic research environment with evolving needs - there is always something that needs to be done
  • With bioinformatic and bench scientists, implement SOPs to support custom high throughput workflows to advance Inari product concepts


  • BS or MS in Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, or other relevant scientific field
  • Expertise in Javascript and/or Python
  • Experience implementing and/or maintaining Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Knowledge of basic biology, and understanding of High Throughput wet lab workflows and tools
  • Strong analytical thinking capability; able to rapidly summarize data, communicate results, and act quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to collaborate and perform  in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Self-motivated, customer focused, continuous learner
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the capacity to develop and implement solutions for complex needs
  • Capacity to perform in spite of ambiguity, deal comfortably with change and adapt and excel without the total picture
  • Strong project management skills, coordinating and implementing plans involving multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to manage through influence, foster open dialogue and collaboration
  • Experience managing next generation sequencing workflows through LIMS
  • Experience training lab research associates and scientists in use of software solutions
  • Previous experience in large-scale agriculture, chemical, or pharmaceutical research and manufacturing environments
