About the role...

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will support compliance and biosafety programs for laboratory, greenhouse, and field operations within Inari. The role will be responsible for regulatory applications and other certifications to assure compliance of Inari operations with respect to biological materials and chemicals. The role will support the establishment of programs that enable on-going operational compliance and employee safety.We are looking for the role to be basedat our headquarters in Cambridge, MA or our office in West Lafayette, IN.

As Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will...

●  Manage process of governmental permits (i.e., apply, write, review) that assure the compliant movement, handling, and receipt of laboratory and biological materials

●  Support compliance permits for laboratory, greenhouse, and field operations to ensure Inari is operating in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws governing laboratory work, use of biological and chemical materials, and employee safety

●  Participate in the development and refinement of protocols and processes to support biological material compliance programs within laboratory, greenhouse, and field operations.

●  Regularly interface with facility, laboratory, and greenhouse leaders to assure continued compliance of operations and, as needed, establish relationships with consultants to support these operations

●  As needed, develop laboratory, greenhouse, and field programs, including training, to assure biosafety and operational compliance

●  Work with EHS consultants as needed to ensure employee safety

You bring...

●  BS or higher degree in biological sciences, agricultural sciences, or related disciplines

●  3-5 years of work experience in agricultural or microbial biotechnology

●  Relevant experience supporting laboratory, greenhouse, and field operations compliance

●  Self-starter and highly organized working style

●  Ability to work quickly to meet tight deadlines and assure Inari’s freedom to operate

●  Ability to work effectively independently and to lead work teams to accomplish goals

●  Energy, self-motivation, ownership and focused execution.

●  Curiosity; desire to continuously learn and have a meaningful impact.
