Part-Time Office Assistant, John Purdue Club

Essential Functions   

  • Process acknowledgement letters.
  • Assist with business office tasks, including processing documents and reimbursements.
  • Perform database clean up and prospecting.
  • Schedule meetings and serve as an assistant to John Purdue Club staff members as needed.
  • Manage a book of business for sales calls to build relationships with donors and prospective donors.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide front office backup as needed.
  • Assist as needed with events.
  • Complete additional projects as assigned.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Ability to represent Purdue for Life, the University and Athletics with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to be creative, accurate, and sensitive and to work with confidential information and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to identify and determine problems, analyze information and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position.

Education/Experience

  • Associate’s degree is required.
  • Some office experience desirable.
