Contract and Compliance Analyst

The Contract and Compliance Analyst is responsible for two main functions: 1) oversee the vendor management program and 2) provide day-to-day compliance function support to the Vice President of Audit and Compliance/General Counsel and directly to departments. *Employees are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position including but not limited to all policies and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Collect and review due diligence information, review contracts for required terms, and assist Relationship Managers in contract negotiation.
  • Monitor expiration and renewal dates and coordinate with Relationship Managers for performance of annual reviews of vendors.
  • Track and report contract status and compliance to management.
  • Perform basic compliance research and analysis of existing and new laws and regulations. 
  • Work closely with all departments to answer routine compliance questions, including supporting, developing, and updating departmental procedures and policies if requested. 
  • Assist in managing change to ensure regulatory compliance and follow audit findings through to completion.
  • Perform compliance reviews of advertising material and promotions.   


Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with major in Accounting, Pre-Law, Business, Political Science, Technical Writing, Finance,  Management, or similar field preferred;
  • Contract administration experience preferred, but not required
  • Financial institution, lending, contract negotiation, or compliance work experience preferred, but not required
  • Compliance, legal, or academic research skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Time management skills, including ability to manage several competing assignments and complete them in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually
  • Superior ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in a professional manner
  • Ability to simplify and summarize complex subjects for daily use
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
  • Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • This job operates in a clerical office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
  • This position requires sitting, bending, stooping or standing as necessary
