Sales Training Specialist

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sales Training Specialist is responsible for coordinating developing and facilitating the credit union's employee education and training programs focused on sales. Develop, maintain curriculum, schedule, and facilitate GOLD Module Training. Provide training support to all employees. Serve as Portal and BAI Administrator. *Employees are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations applicable to this position including but not limited to all policies and procedures pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • GOLD Program Administration (Sales Focus)
    • Develop, maintain curriculum, schedule, and deliver Growth, Opportunity, Leadership, & Development (GOLD) Module Training
    • Meet with Retail Quality Assurance Department on a monthly basis to update and maintain process changes
    • Coordinate, schedule, and deliver training updates to branch employees as needed
    • Play an active role in the achievement and success of the branch employees through personal contribution and coaching
  • Soft Skills Training
    • Develop, maintain curriculum, schedule, and deliver Soft Skills training (Soft Skills Lending, Soft Skills Membership Training)
    • Develop, maintain curriculum, schedule and deliver “Sales” training
  • Branch Observations
    • Complete branch observations for GOLD Program, in coordination with branch managers/assistant managers
  • System Administration
    • Serve as Portal Administrator for Products & Services; update pages as necessary
    • Serve as BAI Administrator
    • Serve as Articulate expert
  • Individual and Team Development
    • Continue educations within the Training Department as well as throughout the credit union
  • Miscellaneous
    • Retail Rallies (assist with content; attend; provide feedback)
    • Develop, coordinate and deliver Summer Acquisition training
    • Assist with the development, coordination and facilitation of Leadership Training

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in financial institutions and/or training experience
  • Competent computer skills
  • Presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
  • Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership

 Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • This job operates in a clerical office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
  • This position requires sitting, bending, stooping or standing as necessary
