Essential Functions

  • Conceptualize, film, edit and produce original videos, including sound editing.
  • Capture photography and b-roll, edit photos and b-roll packages, and help organize media assets in a digital asset management tool.
  • Coordinate photographic planning, shooting, and editing.
  • Capture event photography/videography.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • As needed, edit and produce videos from existing multimedia assets.
  • Collaborate with the Purdue for Life Foundation brand and design team to ensure all work produced follows Purdue for Life Foundation and Purdue University brand guidelines as well as ADA guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively and collegially with Purdue for Life Foundation staff (fundraisers, donor and alumni relations, special events, Purdue for Life leadership) to complete projects on time and with high quality.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A high level of creativity.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take initiative and perform with minimal supervision, prioritize assignments to meet deadlines, and produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence and build working relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels.
  • Demonstrated good judgment, diplomacy, persuasive ability, and the ability to inspire confidence and cooperation to drive positive results within and across the organization’s boundaries.
  • General understanding of the need to cultivate and steward donors at any giving level.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere for editing and Adobe After Effects for compositing.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate client schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to stand or crouch for long periods of time during photo/video shoots.
  • Experience using professional recording equipment.
  • Ability to set up lighting and audio equipment.
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds or more, with or without an accommodation.
  • Regular and reliable attendance are requirements of this position.


  • Bachelor’s degree in video production, photography, art, or related field of study.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in professional photography and post-production.
  • Knowledge of video production and editing with experience in advanced video and audio editing software.
  • Motion graphic skills are a plus.
