Student Worker, Office of Special Events

Essential Functions

  • Manage attendee lists for various events.
  • Prepare nametags and other event materials.
  • Pack/unpack event supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with events coordinated by the Office of Special Events.
  • Assist with event set up on-site, as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Clerical functions (copying, collating, word processing, filing, answering phones, etc.).
  • Distribute mail to events team member.
  • Maintain storage areas to keep equipment in its proper location and inventory levels are met.
  • Make deliveries on campus as needed.
  • Occasional night and weekend opportunities.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Work well under pressure.
  • Meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Efficient in MS Office.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required.
  • Students in HTM majors preferred.
