Quince Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: QNCX), a biopharmaceutical company advancing innovative precision therapeutics targeting debilitating and rare diseases.

Position Purpose
Working in our West Lafayette, Indiana location, the Analytical Chemist will assist in the preclinical development of novel targeted therapeutics and develop analytical assays to detect and measure therapeutics in different biological matrices. In addition, the Chemist will assist in the evaluation of the purity and stability of formulations of lead molecules. Initially this role will report to the Head of Discovery and then to the Director of Chemistry.

Responsibilities

  • Quantify target compounds in biological samples.
  • Analytical characterization of synthesized chemicals and biological pharmacokinetic samples.
  • Drug formulation and stability analysis.
  • Analytical method development.
  • Determine the relationships of chemical and physical properties, composition, structures and reactions of organic and inorganic compounds.
  • Document findings in technical papers and reports, preparing specification and testing standards.
  • Monitor inventory of consumables and reagent to ensure appropriate supplies for testing schedule.
  • Responsible for maintenance and quality control of analytical lab instruments and equipment.


Position Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry (focus on Analytical) or Biochemistry.
  • 5+ years of lab experience and a minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnical industry experience.
  • Must have experience utilizing liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and other techniques to analyze chemical compounds.
  • Experience performing proteomics analysis in a lab environment.
  • Drug formulation and stability experience.
  • Analytical and data evaluation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Graph Pad Prism, Masslynxs, Mestrenova, Chemdraw and other analytical software.
