Saab in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Lead IFS Programmer Analyst/Oracle DBA to have overall responsibility for the operation and development of the technical platform for the IFS ERP system.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the IFS ERP technical platform including: Performance analysis and tuning for high availability environments, backups and recovery, data integrity and security.

  • Perform installations, upgrades, and patching.

  • Perform code development, customization and scripting.

  • Participate in projects and development assignments linked to the IFS ERP and related business systems.

  • Provide analysis and recommendations regarding data architectures and technologies which may be required to support current and/or evolving business needs.

  • Participate in the ERP strategy and IFS migration project for the US Saab businesses

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor 's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Management or related discipline is required.

  • 10+ years of related experience, with at least 6 of those years managing Oracle databases and working with ERP’s, specifically IFS.

  • Knowledge / certification in Oracle Databases, PL/SQL, and Windows Server.

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.

  • High levels of accountability, demonstrated initiative and innovation.

  • Flexibility and ability to manage workload and achieve results with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work effectively in an international project team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
