Job Description:

Saab's,  Information Communication Technology (ICT) team is looking for an experienced Senior IT professional with a strong understanding of ITIL practices, end-user systems, and customer service to fill a Senior IT Support Professional position. Desired location for this position is Syracuse, NY or West Lafayette, IN. However, other office locations include; Orlando, FL, Washington D.C., and Ashburn VA.

Opportunities include:

  • Delivering a customer service-oriented approach to the facets of Information Technology in support of the organizations' end-point computing devices and peripherals. 

  • Effectively using problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues, as well as provide input to process improvement efforts. 

  • Quickly establishing credible relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Providing hardware, software, and network support to internal customers.

  • Interacting with internal or external customers on technical and programmatic issues.

  • Effectively using tools such as VMWare Workspace ONE UEM, SCCM, SCSM, Orchestrator, Intune, and other similar tools with a focus on imagine, software roll-out, patch management and security implementation.

  • Evaluating and applying department policies and procedures to effective execution.

  • Contributing to the adoption of new design and development approaches to improve overall quality, reliability, and speed of implementation.

  • License management

  • Mentorship of levels 1 and 2 team members.​

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology or a computer science discipline or related discipline is required.

  • 6+ years of relevant IT experience.

  • Understanding of processes and procedures with capability to suggest improvements

  • Ability to configure and deploy endpoint computing devices on an enterprise scale

  • Understanding of Asset Management

  • Solid organizational, documentation, verbal and writing communication skills.

  • Ability and willingness to handle off-hours support, including on-call

  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
