DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for… 

Spensa Technologies is seeking an experienced, driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to manage deployment and introduction of our unique hardware and software solutions for precision agriculture, primarily focused in the Midwestern United States, ideally located in Indiana or an easy driving distance to our offices in West Lafayette, IN. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in closing complex solution sales.

Your key responsibilities are…

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets for the geography
  • Actively follow up all potential sales opportunities and work with partners to close sales
  • Identify and develop key vertical markets in the region
  • Interface and develop strong relationships with key end users
  • Close direct sales to end users of hardware and software solutions
  • Conduct complex technical sales presentations accurately and effectively
  • Explain ROI and clear financial benefits of the Spensa Technology solutions
  • Represent Spensa at trade shows and industry events

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

You should have…

  • University degree in a relevant field (agronomy, entomology, geography and/or business, finance, economics) and 3-5+ years of field experience with direct sales in the agriculture industry, precision ag focus is a plus
  • Direct sales skills with a track record of success
  • Strong solution selling skills with the ability to communicate and uncover ROI
  • Personal drive with a strong sense of urgency
  • Presentation skills/speaking ability
  • Proven ability to drive new technologies into new regions/market verticals
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
