JOB DESCRIPTION: Spun out of Purdue University’s top-ranked Lyles School of Civil Engineering, Wavelogix has developed an IoT sensing & data analytics platform for infrastructure monitoring & management. We are committed to digitizing the construction industry to improve access to accurate data & to simplify the workflows of construction contractors & engineers. We are seeking to hire an energetic & motivated Field Service & Sales Representative. Initially, this will be a part-time role but can move to full-time following product launch & as sales increase. As a Field Service & Sales Representative, you will be responsible for assisting with sales of product, ensuring proper installation of product on customer projects; effectively training customers on installations, subscriptions & data reporting; & timely & appropriately responding to all customer inquiries with the goal of achieving outstanding customer satisfaction. You also will be asked to help increase brand awareness, advise sales teams & prepare occasional reports for management. You will be required to understand & be able to explain our technology & to keep informed of industry trends & competitive technologies. You should be able to help the company identify weaknesses, & make improvements, in its sales strategy.


  • Selling product & assisting with product launches
  • Installing, maintaining & testing product on location
  • Performing troubleshooting on product on location
  • Traveling to meet with prospective customers, vendors & distributors
  • Attending & networking at industry events
  • Interacting with customers & handling questions & complaints efficiently & professionally
  • Building & maintaining relationships & trust with customers
  • Training customers on effective use of our products
  • Understanding & explaining our technology to others
  • Keeping informed of product developments & latest market trends
  • Monitoring inventory stocking levels & ordering inventory as appropriate
  • Identifying key sales opportunities to enhance company revenue
  • Performing certain administration duties, including sales & customer service reports


  • Technical degree or certification preferred
  • Experience in a similar role & industrial environment advantageous
  • Experience with managing technical equipment & using mobile tools & applications required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Great communication & interpersonal skills required
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills required
  • Good time-management skills & ability to multi-task required
  • Ability to travel regularly & work independently required
