Imperatives

The Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) Office of Investments (OOI) utilizes the term ‘imperatives’ rather than ‘goals’ to communicate portfolio objectives. Imperatives indicate the non-negotiable, essential nature of portfolio objectives, while goals indicate desired results.

Endowment Imperatives - Purdue Investment Pool (PIP)

  1. Achieve a long-term total rate of return for the Endowment that is greater than distributions, inflation, and all costs
  2. Achieve the needed long-term rate of return as efficiently and effectively as possible by focusing on net return per unit of risk
