Startups based on Purdue innovations continue to have a strong international impact. They exemplify the University's role as a land-grant university, provide new products to improve the lives of our global society and support economic development through job creation.

In fiscal year 2019, the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) reported a record-breaking 17 startups founded on an innovation from Purdue research and continues to support startup creation. The startups are based on patented University intellectual property and innovations. In addition, there are a number of other startups supported by PRF originating without Purdue-owned intellectual property.

The startups meet the criteria as set by the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). This means the new companies have licensed an innovation from a university and have funding in place, a leadership team and a viable business plan. Here are links to recent Purdue startups:
